Do you believe in ghosts? The discussion about mind and souls today got me into thinking about supernatural phenomenon. If ghosts existed what are they? Are they lost souls, part of us that got lost? We hear stories about haunted houses and other legend ghost stories but we don’t believe them right? If ghosts/ sprits exists why are they here? “Unfinished business” some would say while others believe it to be superstition, it is all in your mind (brain as some people think). If this was true (ghost being real)it would support the duelist’s view of the soul or mind separate from the brain. Wouldn't that be the way a ghost becomes one? Being separated from the body?
Plus what about psychics or those people who believe they can communicate to the world beyond is that all a hoax. All this suggests that there is something more than a brain and a body but we just don’t know how much more there is. What are other people’s thoughts about this?

I think that "ghosts" can be interpreted in several different ways. Some people will say that anything supernatural is all in your head, that we want to believe because by believing in the existence of ghosts it gives us some sort of hope that there is an afterlife, even if that doesn't mean heaven it still means that we go on, that when we die there will be nothing left I think that is something that people fear. I believe in the supernatural from stories that I have heard from friends who experienced strange ocurances as well as my own experiences. What causes these happenings? I guess that it could be ghosts, or more specifically lost spirits, but on the other hand it could be something else completely, ie. demons or angels, whatever it is I like to think that something beyond the world that we walk in exists.
Personally, I don't believe that souls get lost on their way to heaven or hell. God judges justly, so having a prolonged stay on earth doesn't seem like a just form of punishment or reward.
However, I do believe that angels and demons both exist. The bible mentions several times how scary this beings are. (Basically, everytime an angel speaks, his first words are "Do no be afraid.") Do some of us actually see this beings? I am sure some of the "sightings" are no more than our minds or other people playing tricks on us, but I kind of believe that some people do catch glimpses of angels or demons.
